The Rural Water Supply Project, executed under the Jal Jeevan Mission, stands as a pivotal initiative reflecting the vision of India’s Prime Minister. Venturing into this project, VTL has taken on the responsibility of enhancing rural water supply in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The project’s scope encompasses the construction of comprehensive rural water supply systems, with the ultimate aim of providing access to clean water to every household across 5,592 villages spanning four districts, all on a Turnkey Basis.
Construction of Infrastructure
Tube Wells: Construction of wells for accessing groundwater.
RCC Overhead Tanks & Pump Houses: Building essential infrastructure for water storage and distribution.
Distribution Networks (Pipe Laying): Laying pipelines to carry water to households.
Construction of Solar Plants: Implementing solar power solutions for sustainable energy.
Operational & Maintenance: The project commits to operate and maintain the water supply systems for a period of 10 years, ensuring the sustainability of water services.
Project Implementation
The project’s execution falls under the purview of the State Water & Sanitization Mission (SWSM) operating under the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
